Mentoring is widely recognized as an important role that establishes key relationships between mentors and mentees. This role is just as important as training and on-the-job experience because it offers the opportunity for one-on-one sessions with a more experienced colleague.
Through mentoring, the mentee gains knowledge and insights that they wouldn’t typically acquire through traditional training. This prepares them for the next stage in their professional life, enabling them to take on additional responsibilities or achieve promotion.
This course focuses on the effective application of mentoring skills, both within and outside the workplace. It highlights the benefits that both the mentor and the mentee can derive from this special relationship.
Course content includes:
- The role of a mentor
- Knowledge, skills and attitude for successful mentoring
- The benefits of mentoring to the mentor, mentee and the organisation
- The difference between coaching, training and mentoring
