Mindful Me – an Introduction to Mindfulness
Mindful Me is a course designed to empower individuals with the ability to express their emotions and improve their overall well-being. This short course aims to guide learners in developing mindfulness through various topics and techniques. By the end of this course, you be equipped with practical tools to navigate everyday challenges and lead a more fulfilling life.
Topics covered include:
- Mindful writing
- Exploring the concept of impermanence
- Identifying beauty in everyday activities and surroundings
- Importance of Resilience

Self Care Workshop
Engaging in a self-care routine has been clinically proven to reduce or eliminate anxiety and depression, reduce stress, increase happiness, and more. It can help you adapt to changes, build strong relationships, and recover from setbacks.
This short course will cover:
- What is self care?
- The benefits of self care
- Activities to support self-care

Wellbeing Workshop
This three week course will use guided movement, breathing and mindfulness based practices to explore practical ways to support your wellbeing in order to help:
• Cope with anxiety, anger, depression, frustration & stress
• Improve all-round wellbeing, physically, mentally and emotionally
• Increases mental, physical & emotional strength, balance & flexibility
• Helps regulate the Central Nervous System and increase Parasympathetic Drive (Rest and Digest)
• Support sleep
• Reduce rumination
• Develop awareness
• Raise the GABBA ‘calming’ and Serotonin ‘happiness’ hormones

These courses are free for those who meet all the following funding requirements:
– you live in a London /Greater London Borough*
– you are not in full time education
– you have not achieved this qualification before
– you are aged 19 or older on 31st August 2024
-Have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the first day of learning
If you don’t have permission to live in the UK for 12 months from the first day of learning there are exemptions which can be discussed with the IAG advisor that will contact you.
*There are occasions when funding is available for learners who don’t live in a London borough. Email edlifelong@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk to find out if this applies to you.
