Wandsworth Council Lifelong Learning offers a range of short courses to support new arrivals to the UK who are seeking employment and wish to improve their wellbeing.
- Basic spelling, conversation and grammar for home and work
- How to find and prepare for employment opportunities
- Citizenship
All courses will take place at the Gwynneth Morgan Centre, 52 East Hill, London, SW18 2HJ and you will receive face-to-face teaching from a qualified and experienced tutor.

This course is free for those who meet all the following funding requirements:
- you live in a London /Greater London Borough*
- you are not in full time education
- you have not achieved this qualification before
- you are aged 19 or older on 31st August 2023
- have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months and the VISA is valid for the duration of the course.
If you don’t have permission to live in the UK for 12 months there are exemptions which can be discussed with the IAG advisor who will contact you.
*There are occasions when funding is available for learners who don’t live in a London borough. Email edlifelong@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk to find out if this applies to you.
