Introduction to Retail Level 1
This course is designed for people who already have a role in retail and want to develop their skills and gain a greater understanding of the sector they work in or for those who are planning to join the industry and want to prepare themselves for a new career.

What You Need to Know
Qualification on completion: Level 1 Award in Retail Knowledge.
The Award consists of 4 classroom sessions of 2 hours over consecutive weeks. You will be asked to complete 4 assignments based on what you have learned and from your personal research. You will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the programme.
Prior to enrolment you will need to undertake an initial assessment in English where you must achieve either Entry Level 3 or Level 1 results.

These courses are free for those who meet all the following funding requirements:
– you live in a London /Greater London Borough*
– you are not in full time education
– you have not achieved this qualification before
– you are aged 19 or older on 31st August 2023
-Have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months from the first day of learning
If you don’t have permission to live in the UK for 12 months from the first day of learning there are exemptions which can be discussed with the IAG advisor that will contact you
