From shopping to entertainment to business services, people expect a high level of service when making their purchases. So, excellent Customer Service is a must for any business if it wants to succeed and keep its clients and customers happy and loyal.
The Level 1 programme (see below) is designed for anyone who is already in a customer facing role (or who aims to be) and will equip you with the knowledge and skills to deliver excellent customer care. It’s a key skill that everyone can benefit from and one that will stay with you for life.
Developing Your Customer Service Skills (Introductory Course)
If you would like insights into the full accredited course, this introductory workshop is ideal. It’s a standalone course that will provide you with the fundamentals of excellent customer service and prepare you for the full accredited course.

Customer Service Level 1

Qualification upon Completion
Following full attendance at the course, completing the assignments and sitting an external test, you will achieve Customer Service Award Level 1.

What You Need to Know About the Level 1 Course
You need access to a good internet connection and a laptop, computer or tablet device for classes and will need to upload coursework. If you do not have a suitable device, please speak to an IAG advisor or your tutor about the Laptop Loan Scheme.
Prior to enrolment for the accredited course you will need to undertake an initial assessment in English where you must achieve an E3 result.
To complete this course successfully and achieve the qualification, you are required to complete weekly self-study exercises or assignments between lessons.

These courses are free for those who meet all the following funding requirements :
– you live in a London /Greater London Borough*
– you are not in full time education
– you have not achieved this qualification before
– you are aged 19 or older on 31st August 2024
-Have permission to live in the UK for at least 12 months and the VISA is valid for the duration of the course
If you don’t have permission to live in the UK for 12 months there are exemptions which can be discussed with the IAG advisor who will contact you.
